Blogging for fun - make money!
People tend to engage in blogging either for fun or for profit. Of course, people who blog for fun often make money from it, and people who blog for income have to enjoy what they do, or they will give it up pretty quickly.
There are millions of blogs on the internet, because people want to share their thoughts, and since the internet came along, that's easier than ever.
Some things that people share on their blogs can include:
- Opinions. Have you figured out what we should be doing about the economy? Do you have thoughts about how a certain vote or election should go? Are there education policies that you support or oppose? Do corporations exploit their customers? If you have an opinion about these things or any others, you can post it on your blog.
- Experiences. Are you struggling with a disease? Did you go to a certain university? Are you a parent, trying to become one, or determined never to have children? A blog is the perfect place to share your experiences. Many people will appreciate your thoughts on the things you have been through.
- Personal expression. This can include news about your family, your poetry, your artwork, random thoughts, plans for the future or reflections on the past. These blogs are about you, not you plus something else, so just say what's on your mind.
- Expertise. These kinds of blogs are often connected to your job or education. There are health blogs, education blogs, construction blogs, dry cleaning blogs, publishing blogs, and blogs focusing on any aspect of any industry you can think of. But you are part of one of those industries, and you have some skills to offer, too. A blog is a perfect place to do that.
Are you really interested in driving massive traffic to your website?
It's all about passion and how hard you work. If you're willing to work hard then it can pay off greatly

Increasing CPA Conversion with a Popup

In WPBlackhat, we use the concept of an incentive page (similar to a pre-sell page) to increase conversion rates. Simply put, we offer an incentive to visitors to sign-up for a particular offer. The incentive is usually a free ebook/report or can even be a script or some useful tool.
Few, if any, networks/advertisers would approve of offering incentives the way we do. So, we have to cover our tracks, and we do this with CPA-Redirector/CPA-Framer (version 1 of these tools are available on this blog.)
Recently, I’ve had a few visitors email me about the whole incentive concept and how to utilize it with CPA Framer (CPA-R). So, here’s one idea I’ve tried this with several offers and it worked really well.
With this example, I use CPA-F to display a pop-up box (a JS alert) that tells visitors they have won a free supply of a health supplement and a special gift.
See it working here: http://www.contentgeneration.org/acberry.php?mn=1234 (Wait 5 seconds for the pop-up.)
Here’s the code (it uses the standalone version of CPA Framer). http://www.contentgeneration.org/acberry.zip

Advanced SEO - Search Engine Optimization
The purpose of SEO is to make sure your site features in the search engines for words and phrases used by people who might buy your products or services. This is one of SEO's fundamental reasons for being.
The problem some people have however is they let their ego get in the way. You need to remember, there's no place in business for vanity publishing, online or otherwise. This can sometimes mean saying no to having your valuable homepage ranking for a search term you think it should rank for in favour of a term your research is telling you it has to rank for.
With keyword research readily and freely available using tools such as Google's free keyword tool, there's really no excuse for not developing an understanding of what your market is searching for. Also, there's no point patting yourself on the back for being number one in Google for a word nobody types into that all important Google search box.
You can always optimise a deep linked page for your vanity ranking phrase but you should always reserve your homepage and other top level pages for words and phrases your potential customers use. You might call is a shovel but of your customers call it an earth moving implement then that's what you need to optimise for.
Of course it may be possible to make sure your homepage ranks both for traffic generating words AND your vanity phrase but make sure you nail the traffic phrases first. That way you can massage your ego by counting your money instead of wondering why your site never gets visitors.

SEO - Search Engine Optimization
I've written a book and a number of informational products about search engine optimization and improving a website's ranking on Google. The question I often get is, "What's the secret?" Aside from solid search engine optimization best practices, there are just a few truly secret techniques that make the difference to anyone looking for #1 rankings.
The reason why I consider some techniques to be true secrets is simply because they are not readily shared by SEO masters and others talking about top rankings. Why? The answer is that there are a number of reasons why these secrets aren't shared by the most popular is the value associated with them.
If you are thinking about SEO and you are anything like me, you probably want the fastest, quickest, most effortless way to put your website on top of search engine result lists. You think about the value of having the number one position. The result is traffic, higher ad revenue, sales, and so on.
As someone making a living online, I can promise you that having the top ranking for competitive keywords is all it is cracked up to be. The difference between a number one ranking and number 4 ranking is the difference between making a living online and making next to nothing.
Okay, so what are some of these "secrets"? I'd be happy to share one at no charge. Let me begin by saying that not every secret is complex or all that unique. Often times, secrets are simply techniques that applies in a unique way, create a significant difference. That's how I view these SEO secrets simply because they probably wont move mountains but can have a dramatic impact on your search engine rankings whether you have a website, blog, or squeeze page that you want to promote.
So here it is. If you want to achieve #1 Google rankings for any keyword, simply follow the road map of the top ranked website for that keyword or keyword phrase. Does it sound too simple? Yes, it is simple but not easy. In order to duplicate the success of your number one competitor, you need to discover why he has a top ranking.
The first place and most important place to start is with back links. Back links are third party links that have your URL on their website. Moreover, they link isn't simply your URL, it has the link text of the keyword or keyword phrase you are trying to improve your ranking for.
The key to success is to find all of the sites linking to your competitor and then get links to your website from the exact same sites. The obvious challenge is finding who is linking to your competitor and then getting links to your site from the same web pages. The good news is that there are tools that can help you do this. In fact there are tons of them and some work better than others.
If you follow this technique and discover the road map of success left by your competitors, you can dramatically improve your website's ranking for the specific keywords you choose. It takes work however so start your research and being building the right kind of links to your website. The results will amaze you.

Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is a simple practice that helps you earn money from your website or blog. At its most basic, affiliate marketing simply means that you will carry ads for someone else's business, and they will pay you to do that. It's a win-win situation for you, the business whose ads you carry, and for people who visit your site, since they are easily directed to sites they might find useful. There are many different kinds of affiliates hoping to enter into an affiliate marketing program with your site. It's not hard to find them, because almost every online business offers some kind of affiliate program. You can go to individual business sites that reflect the interests of your blog or website. If you have a favorite store or internet business, start by going to their site and looking at the links to see if they offer affiliation. Chances are very good that they do offer that, and if so, you can easily match your interests to your affiliates.
Another way to find an affiliate program is to go to an affiliate site, such as Commission Junction, Clickbank, or ShareaSale. These sites have relationships with many different affiliates, and gather their information into one place so that you don't have to go all over the internet looking for it.
